Campaign Introduction: The Search for Arcane Scrolls

In the heart of the Marth Forest, a unique blend of elves and humans have coexisted for generations, resulting in a community of half-elves and old elves. This tranquil forest, known as Dwelve, has been home to many, including the young mage who has just received an important task from his master, the renowned wizard Joaqhan II.

Joaqhan II has entrusted the mage with a critical quest: to compile and find as many magical scrolls as possible. Understanding the gravity of this mission, the mage seeks out his two cousins, skilled half-elven rangers, to form a party for the adventure.

Upon hearing about the quest, Talison, one of the cousins, finds the mage first and eagerly expresses his interest in joining the adventure. Meanwhile, the other cousin, Xanril, is found in a bit of a predicament. He's getting beaten up by a bigger guy, having said or done something foolish while drunk. The bigger guy is throwing Xanril into the street and pummeling him. Valeska, the third member of the party, rushes in to stop the fight and pays off the brute with a couple of gold coins, saying, "I think he has had enough. Go buy yourself a drink; we can take care of him from here." Valeska then drags the drunken and defenseless Xanril away to get him sobered up.

With Xanril finally back on his feet and Talison eager to begin, the newly-formed party prepares to leave the confines of the forest for the first time, stepping into a world filled with unknown dangers and magical wonders. Their journey is fraught with challenges, but the bonds of family and friendship will guide them through the trials ahead.

The first town the party runs into, Marthon, seems to be pretty small and unremarkable except for a few caravans. The town is under strict control with its own curfew, and they hear that the sheriff isn't too friendly. Marthon seems to be under some form of martial law, so the party doesn't stick around and decides to travel north to a bigger town called Brindol, where they hope to find more information for their quest.

While staying in the common area, they hear a commotion from the inn's stable. Talison climbs out of a window using a rope to investigate and discovers a dead body in the stables. He moves the body to the front of the inn to warn anyone who may arrive. As the night progresses, someone approaches the inn, notices the body, and tries to leave. Talison jumps off the roof to catch the stagecoach and discovers it is carrying a prince, a special guest who often stays at the inn. Talison and the prince return to the inn, and the rest of the party sees this from the window and decides to meet them when they enter. The party and the prince soon realize that this was all a setup. The supposed Road Warden commander is not who he appears to be and is planning to capture the prince. Upon confronting him, a fierce battle ensues.
